Security audit

Framejet

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill is mostly coherent for using Framejet through OOMOL, but its setup instructions include executing remote installer scripts directly.

Review the installer step before installing. Prefer installing the OOMOL `oo` CLI from a verified release or documented package path, and do not let an agent run the remote shell installer unless you trust that distribution channel and intended local changes.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

External Script Fetching

Supply Chain
Confidence

Finding

The skill recommends installing software via curl ... | bash, which executes a remotely fetched script without verification. If the remote host, network path, or distribution mechanism is compromised, this could lead to arbitrary code execution on the user's machine.

Finding

The description says to use this skill for "ANY Framejet request" and "Whenever a task involves Framejet," which is a very broad activation condition. It does not define narrower trigger phrases, scope boundaries, or negative examples, so ordinary mentions of Framejet-related tasks could invoke the skill unintentionally.
