Cheaper Inference

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill is mostly coherent for using Cheaper Inference through OOMOL, but its setup instructions include unsafe remote installer commands that execute downloaded scripts directly.

Review the oo CLI installation path before installing. Prefer official package manager or verified installer steps where available, and avoid running remote install scripts directly unless you trust OOMOL and the installation source. Also remember that chat/message actions send prompt content to Cheaper Inference through OOMOL and may consume account credit.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

External Script Fetching

Category
Supply Chain
Confidence
98% confidence
Finding

The skill instructs use of a remote install command that pipes a fetched script directly into bash. If the remote host, transport, or script content is compromised, this leads to immediate arbitrary code execution on the user's machine without an opportunity to inspect the script first.

Finding

The skill description says to use this skill for ANY Cheaper Inference request and instead of calling the API directly, which is an overly broad routing instruction. This can cause unintended invocation for loosely related tasks, expand the blast radius of the skill, and steer the agent into running connector-backed actions when simpler or safer handling may be more appropriate.
