Security audit

Token Cost Estimator

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a local cost-estimation skill, but it directs users to read every OpenClaw session transcript for all agents on the account.

Install only if you are comfortable running a local script that reads historical OpenClaw session transcripts across all agents. Prefer editing it to target a specific agent or session folder, and avoid running it in environments where transcripts may contain secrets or sensitive personal/business data.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

Finding

The skill instructs users to analyze all session transcripts under ~/.openclaw/agents/.../sessions/*.jsonl, which can contain sensitive prompts, outputs, secrets, and personal data. Even though the purpose is cost estimation, there is no privacy warning, consent check, scoping control, or data-minimization guidance, so users may expose more historical session data than intended.
