Facebook Api

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed read-only wrapper around ScraperSocial's Facebook public-data API, with the main user considerations being third-party API-key use and paid API credits.

Install this only if you are comfortable sending Facebook URLs, handles, search terms, and your ScraperSocial API key to ScraperSocial. Calls may consume paid credits, especially transcript, summary, download, and paginated endpoints. The inspected artifact did not show local persistence or hidden data collection.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

MCP Tool Poisoning
Confidence

Finding

The supplied code only exposes one operation: calling the Facebook /v1/facebook/download endpoint with a URL parameter. The declared description lists many Facebook data extraction and analytics features (transcripts, summaries, stats, comments, reels, ads, marketplace, events, groups, reviews) but does not mention download functionality. This is a material description/behavior mismatch because the actual code performs a different specific capability than what is declared, and the declared purpose suggests a broad toolkit while this chunk is only a download wrapper.
