Homelab Assets

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a local homelab inventory tool that reads and updates its own disclosed JSON inventory file without hidden network, credential, persistence, or destructive behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable storing homelab asset details such as serial numbers, purchase prices, warranty dates, notes, and physical locations in a local JSON file. Because some triggers are broad, confirm before asking general hardware or warranty questions if you do not want inventory details surfaced in the conversation.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding
The trigger list contains several broad natural-language phrases such as 'what hardware do I have' and 'warranty check' that can match ordinary conversation and cause the skill to activate unintentionally. Because the skill reads and reports on local inventory data, accidental invocation could expose asset, purchase, location, serial, or warranty information to a user who did not explicitly intend to access this skill.
