Code Security Checks

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a straightforward security-review checklist skill with a packaging metadata defect but no hidden execution, persistence, or data exfiltration behavior.

Reasonable to install for security-review assistance, but verify or correct the trigger metadata first so the skill is invoked only when intended. Treat any secrets found during reviews as sensitive and keep the skill's use scoped to the files you want reviewed.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The trigger field contains an unspecified serialized type placeholder (System.Object[]) rather than a concrete, validated trigger definition. Ambiguous trigger configuration can cause the skill to be invoked unexpectedly, bypass intended operational constraints, or be interpreted differently by downstream tooling, which is risky for a skill explicitly focused on security review tasks.
