Interview Designer

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a markdown-only interview-preparation skill with a coherent purpose and no hidden execution behavior, though its README uses unpinned npx installer commands users should treat cautiously.

Before installing, prefer a pinned and verified installer version if your environment is sensitive. The skill itself appears to be a plain interview-guide template and methodology package; do not paste sensitive candidate data into any agent or tool unless your organization's data-handling rules allow it.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure DependenciesIntroduces malicious components through unsafe dependency sources
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

install interview-designer npx --yes skills@ add mikonos/interview-designer ``` 2. Verify that the package names, publishers, and registry URLs correspond to the official projects before recommending execution. 3. Document the expected package integrity hashes or signature-verification process where the package ecosystem supports them. 4. Prefer a dependency installation workflow backed by a committed lockfile and integrity metadata when integrating these tools into automated environments. 5. In security-sensitive environments, download and inspect the resolved package and dependency tree before executing it. 6. Run installation under a dedicated, least-privileged account or isolated environment with no unnecessary credentials, sensitive environment variables, or write access to unrelated files. 7. Establish a version-update process in which newer installer releases are reviewed and tested before the pinned version is changed. ]]>

Finding

The README instructs users to execute npx clawhub@latest install interview-designer, which fetches and runs the latest package version at execution time rather than a reviewed, fixed version. If the upstream package is compromised, typo-squatted, or publishes a malicious update, users could execute attacker-controlled code during installation.

Finding

The command npx skills add mikonos/interview-designer invokes an unpinned package resolver, so the package/tool actually executed can change over time outside the author's control. This creates a supply-chain risk: a compromised upstream package or malicious newly published version could run arbitrary code on the user's machine during install.
