Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed Bright Data web-search helper, with expected external API use and no evidence of hidden persistence, local data access, or destructive behavior.

Install only if you intend to use Bright Data for web search and are comfortable sending search queries, target URLs, and optional fetched page content through Bright Data. Avoid --include-content unless you need full page bodies, since it can collect large third-party content into local outputs.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

Line L52 describes --include-content as fetching and including page body markdown for each result, but only warns about payload size and speed. Because this behavior pulls potentially sensitive third-party content into the tool output, the skill description should disclose the privacy/data-handling impact, not just performance effects.
