Scrape

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed Bright Data web-scraping helper with no bundled executable code, persistence, or hidden behavior found.

Install only if you intend to use Bright Data for web scraping and are comfortable authenticating the Bright Data CLI. Review any batch or pagination commands before running them, especially output paths and the legacy API fallback.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

Data is being sent to an external URL. This could be legitimate telemetry or data exfiltration. Manual review is recommended.

Missing User Warnings

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
84% confidence
Finding

The markdown includes a shell example that deletes an output file with rm -f "$out" when a pagination stop condition is met, but the surrounding text does not explicitly warn that files may be removed. Although the deletion is limited and purposeful, this is still a user-data-affecting operation shown in documentation without a clear warning.
