Build Opportunity Scout

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill reads a disclosed harvested-trends file and writes prioritized opportunity reports to disclosed local output files.

Before installing, confirm you are comfortable with the skill reading /root/.openclaw/workspace/data/harvest/feature_patterns.json and overwriting or creating opportunities.json and opportunities.md in the same harvest directory.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The skill reads from and writes to workspace files but does not declare any explicit tool scope, permissions, or allowed-tools boundary. This creates an authorization ambiguity where an agent/runtime may permit broader file access than intended, increasing the chance of unintended data exposure or file modification if the skill is invoked in a permissive environment.
