Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a documentation-only Rez skill whose file-copying and binary patching guidance is purpose-aligned and disclosed enough for normal use.

Before using the Rez bundle guidance, make sure the destination directory is intentional and review uses of --force because it can bypass relocatability checks and bundled libraries may be patched. The skill is documentation-only and does not itself run commands or install code.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

This markdown file documents rez-bundle flags such as --force and explains library patching that rewrites ELF headers, but it does not explicitly warn the user that bundling performs substantial file-copying and binary modification inside the destination bundle. Under the markdown-file warning criterion, behaviors affecting system integrity or packaged artifacts should be disclosed clearly, especially when --force bypasses relocatability safeguards.
