openclaw skills install @liush2yuxjtu/debug-modeEvidence-first debug mode for bugs that need runtime evidence before a fix. Use when the user says "debug this", "find the root cause", "it still fails after the fix", "works locally but not in prod", "flaky test", or "I can't reproduce it". Lists competing hypotheses, adds temporary pi-debug probes, asks for one reproduction, reads the evidence, applies the smallest root-cause fix, verifies, and removes every probe.
openclaw skills install @liush2yuxjtu/debug-modeUse runtime evidence to choose between causes before you change code. Do not make a speculative fix.
This skill is the portable form of the pi-debug-mode extension for the Pi coding agent.
It works in any agent that has file, shell, and edit tools.
Pi users can install the extension instead: pi install npm:pi-debug-mode.
Do not use this skill for a direct question or for a bug with an obvious static cause.
pi-debug matches in the repository and keep that number. Add the smallest logs or assertions that separate the hypotheses in one reproduction. Mark every probe line with the comment or text pi-debug. Record each file and line you add in a probe list for this run. Write probe output to one known log file that you can read later, for example .pi-debug/run.log in the project root. If the code cannot write a file (for example, browser code), tell the user exactly where the output appears and ask them to paste it in their reply.FixedIssue reproduced, please try againAutopilot (you verify machine-checkable steps yourself)Fixed, or, in Autopilot, when your machine checks pass and no human judgment remains. Remove only the probes in this run's probe list. Search the repository again and confirm that the pi-debug match count equals the number you kept in step 4. Do not delete pi-debug markers that existed before this run. Delete the probe log file if this run created it. Run the smallest relevant test. Report the root cause, the fix, and the evidence. If the user picks Autopilot, verify machine-checkable behavior yourself: commands, tests, APIs, logs, CLI/TUI output, and generated files.
Check output assertions, not only exit codes.
Do not ask the user to run a command you can run.
For a machine-only bug, do not add a verification checkpoint. Passing machine checks complete the run.
Ask the user again only for visual, click, touch, or aesthetic judgment. State the exact human reason and the exact steps. Use at most one extra human checkpoint after Autopilot starts.
