Security audit

four-layer-memory

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a small memory-organization skill with disclosed persistent note categories and no bundled executable code or hidden access behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable with the skill guiding an agent to maintain persistent local memory about preferences, identity, logs, relationships, and experiences. Do not run the recommended personal_ai_memory.py commands unless you separately inspect and trust that script, because it is not included in this artifact.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The manifest description and section content are written in Chinese while the skill title and commands are otherwise generic, and there is no indication that the skill is intended only for Chinese-speaking users or a China-specific context. This creates a natural-language locale policy issue because the skill effectively imposes a language choice without opt-in or justification.
