Listing Optimizer
Rewrite and optimize ecommerce product listings for maximum search visibility and conversion by improving titles, bullet points, descriptions, and backend keywords across Amazon, Shopify, and TikTok Shop. This skill turns a raw product brief or an underperforming existing listing into platform-compliant copy that indexes well for relevant searches and makes shoppers confident enough to buy.
Use when
- You are launching a new product on Amazon, Shopify, or TikTok Shop and need the first version of title, five bullets, A+ content or long description, and backend search terms written to platform guidelines with keyword research baked in
- An existing listing has traffic but poor conversion and you suspect the bullets bury the benefits, the title is keyword-stuffed in a way that hurts trust, or the description misses the top buyer questions and objections
- You are porting a product from one platform to another (for example Shopify to TikTok Shop or Amazon to Shopee) and need the copy adapted to the new platform's character limits, formatting conventions, and buyer expectations instead of copy-pasted verbatim
- A competitor has leapfrogged your organic ranking for a target keyword and you want a structured audit of their listing versus yours to identify specifically which elements to rework
What this skill does
This skill analyzes the product, the target buyer, the platform's specific character limits and formatting rules, and the top three to five competitor listings for the main keyword cluster, then produces an optimized listing package. It generates a platform-appropriate title that balances primary keyword placement with readability, five to seven benefit-led bullet points that answer the buyer's real questions in the order they ask them, a scannable long description structured with subheadings and objection handling, and a backend keyword set that covers synonym, misspelling, and use-case variations without repeating front-end terms. It flags any claims that would need substantiation, any terms restricted by the platform, and any formatting that would trigger automatic suppression.
Inputs required
- Product details (required): What the product is, materials or ingredients, key specifications, what problem it solves, the primary buyer profile, and the price point.
- Target platform (required): Amazon (which marketplace), Shopify, TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada, or other — so the output respects the character limits, HTML rules, and formatting conventions of that platform.
- Keyword targets (optional): Primary and secondary keywords you want to rank for, plus any keyword research data from Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or the platform's own tools. If not provided, the skill suggests candidate keywords from the product description and category.
- Competitor references (optional): URLs or copy from two to five competing listings you want to outperform. Including these produces a sharper differentiation angle in the generated copy.
Output format
The output has five sections. Section one, Title, provides two to three title variants within the platform's character limit, with the primary keyword placement explained. Section two, Bullet Points or Key Features, delivers the bullets in priority order with benefit-first phrasing and the objection or buying criterion each one addresses annotated. Section three, Description or A+ Content Blocks, provides the long-form copy structured for scannability with subheadings, social proof hooks, and a closing reassurance section. Section four, Backend Keywords or Hidden Fields, lists the backend search terms without duplication of front-end keywords and within platform byte or character limits. Section five, Compliance and Risk Notes, flags restricted terms, claims needing substantiation, and any formatting the platform might suppress.
Scope
- Designed for: ecommerce operators, Amazon sellers, TikTok Shop sellers, Shopify brand teams, listing copywriters, PPC managers coordinating with organic
- Platform context: Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada, Walmart Marketplace, eBay
- Language: English
Limitations
- Does not pull live keyword volume or competitor ranking data; if keyword research tools are available, pass their output as input for sharper keyword prioritization
- Cannot guarantee ranking outcomes — indexing and ranking also depend on sales velocity, review quality, listing age, and advertising support, which are outside the copy itself
- Platform policies change frequently; treat compliance notes as a starting filter and verify restricted terms against the current version of each platform's listing policy before going live
