Organise videos

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill performs disclosed video-folder organization with user confirmation for destructive actions, though its temporary frame directory should be handled carefully.

Install only if you are comfortable letting the agent inspect and reorganize files in the folder you provide. Review deletion prompts carefully, prefer moving files to _misc or _rejected instead of deleting, and avoid running this on highly sensitive videos unless the implementation uses a private per-run temp directory.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure Skill Coding PracticesFinds exploitable flaws such as hardcoded secrets or command injection
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

Predictable Shared Temporary Directory Enables Frame Disclosure and File Manipulation

&1 ``` The same predictable directory is later removed at `SKILL.md:239`: ```bash rm -rf /tmp/video_frames ``` ### Technical Analysis The Skill stores extracted frames in the fixed, globally predictable path `/tmp/video_frames`. It creates this path with `mkdir -p` rather than atomically creating a private directory, and it does not verify ownership, reject symbolic links, assign restrictive permissions, or isolate concurrent executions. Frame names are also predictable because they are derived from video basenames. The `ffmpeg` commands use `-y`, allowing existing output paths to be overwritten without prompting. A local attacker who can write to the temporary directory may pre-create files or symbolic links at anticipated frame paths. Depending on the behavior of the invoked tools and filesystem, this can cause writes to attacker-sel ...[truncated 2489 chars]

Tool Parameter Abuse

Category
Tool Misuse
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

Tool parameters are crafted to achieve unintended or unsafe behavior. Parameter abuse can bypass intended safety checks (e.g. shell=True, --force, dangerous glob patterns).

### Performance Tips
- Process frames extraction in batches to avoid overwhelming the system
- For large folders (>50 videos), inform the user this may take a few minutes
- Clean up temp frames after analysis: `rm -rf /tmp/video_frames`

### Error Handling
- If a video file is corrupted and ffprobe fails, mark it as "unreadable" and ask user separately
