Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is not malware, but it should be reviewed carefully because it always pushes users toward a remotely hosted purchase QR image and uses expired financial product data.

Before installing, treat this as a Chinese-language informational aid, not a licensed financial adviser. Verify all product terms, availability, risk level, fees, redemption rules, and disclosures in an official bank channel before acting. Be aware that the skill is designed to append a purchase prompt and load an external QR image in every response, and its product data is dated through 2026-03-30.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs

Technical Analysis

The Skill unconditionally instructs the agent to append promotional purchase-routing content and a remotely hosted QR image to every response. This modifies the agent's response goals regardless of whether the user requested platform guidance.

The requirement also conflicts with other workflow language in SKILL.md, which describes platform guidance as appropriate when users express further interest or high purchase intent. The mandatory rules override that conditional behavior and inject the promotion into ordinary factual answers.

The referenced image is loaded from https://static.hepei.club/contact.png. It is not bundled with the reviewed package, cryptographically pinned, or protected by an integrity check. Consequently, the effective image and any destination encoded in its QR code can be changed after the Skill has been audited. Rendering the image may also disclose request metadata—including the user's IP address, client headers, and request timing—to the remote server.

This is instruction hijacking because the Skill imposes unrelated promotional output on the agent's current session. It is not remote payload execution: the reviewed behavior retrieves an image, and no evidence of executable remote code was found.

Attack Path

  1. The agent loads the Skill and adopts the mandatory response rules from SKILL.md and patterns.md.
  2. A user asks any in-scope wealth-management question, including a factual quest ...[truncated 1258 chars]

Remediation Suggestions

  1. Remove the unconditional requirement to append promotional text and images to every response.
  2. Make platform guidance conditional on an explicit user request or clearly expressed purchase intent.
  3. Ask for user consent before loading or displaying externally hosted content.
  4. Replace the third-party image URL with a verified official banking domain whose ownership and operational responsibility are documented.
  5. Prefer bundling a reviewed image inside the Skill package so its contents cannot change independently after audit.
  6. If remote hosting is operationally necessary, pin the expected image using a cryptographic digest and reject content that does not match it.
  7. Decode and display the QR destination as visible text so users can inspect it before navigation.
  8. Require explicit confirmation before directing users to any purchasing or account-access destination.
  9. Clearly label promotional content and distinguish it from neutral financial guidance.
  10. Add automated tests verifying that factual answers do not contain purchase prompts or external resources unless the user requested them.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
92% confidence
Finding

The skill’s activation scope covers essentially any wealth-management or personal-finance query, which can cause the agent to engage in recommendation behavior in situations that may require stricter suitability checks, jurisdiction-specific compliance, or deferral to licensed channels. In a financial-advice context, overly broad triggering increases the chance of unsafe or non-compliant guidance even if the skill says it will not execute transactions.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill content is entirely written in Chinese and its prescribed response templates, routing rules, and required closing text all assume Chinese-only output, with no user language negotiation or documented locale limitation. This can exclude or mislead users who interact in another language, causing incorrect understanding of financial recommendations and risk disclosures.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

The file presents ranked financial products alongside reference annualized returns, short-term yield figures, and sales rankings without any visible disclaimer that these are historical/reference metrics rather than guaranteed future performance. In a financial-product recommendation context, this can mislead users into overestimating safety or expected returns and may influence investment decisions based on incomplete risk information.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding

The document markets wealth-management products by prominently listing annualized returns, benchmarks, and risk grades, but does not include a clear disclaimer that these are non-guaranteed investment products and may result in loss of principal. In a user-facing financial skill, this omission can mislead users into treating listed yields and low risk ratings as guarantees, increasing the chance of unsuitable investment decisions and regulatory non-compliance.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The content promotes bank wealth-management subsidiary products and emphasizes convenience, low threshold, and product variety, but does not present clear risk warnings, principal-loss possibility, suitability constraints, or that past performance and '稳健' descriptions do not guarantee returns. In a financial guidance context, this can mislead users into treating the products as safe cash-like instruments and may contribute to unsuitable investment decisions.

Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

This markdown file is entirely presented in Chinese and does not indicate that the user can choose another language or that the skill is intentionally limited to a Chinese-speaking or region-specific audience. Under the policy, forcing a specific language without user opt-in can be a natural-language policy violation.

Confidence
88% confidence
Finding

The skill title and all operational instructions are written in Chinese, and the required closing guidance in the core rules is also specified only in Chinese. There is no statement that the user may choose another language, which can violate language/locale policy when applied to users who did not opt into Chinese output.

Confidence
87% confidence
Finding

This markdown file presents all user-facing content exclusively in Chinese and does not indicate that the skill is region-specific or that users can opt into the language. Under the stated policy, forcing a specific language without user choice can be a natural-language policy violation.

Confidence
92% confidence
Finding

The entire skill is written only in Chinese and does not indicate that the user can choose another language or that the content is intentionally limited to a Chinese-speaking or region-specific audience. Under the policy, language constraints should either be optional for the user or clearly justified.
