Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a transparent CloudStack CLI helper with high-impact infrastructure access that is disclosed and aligned with its purpose.

Install only where cmk is configured for CloudStack accounts you intend the agent to manage. Check the active cmk profile before use, prefer least-privilege CloudStack credentials, and require explicit confirmation before destructive actions such as destroy or expunge.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Rogue AgentSelf-Modification, Session Persistence
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The skill explicitly documents use of CloudMonkey profiles and states that configuration is stored in ~/.cmk/config, which introduces session and credential persistence on the local system. In an agent-executed context, persistent profile state can cause subsequent actions to run against the wrong CloudStack environment or reuse stored credentials without fresh user intent, increasing the blast radius of mistakes or abuse.
