Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a simple arXiv CLI helper with disclosed install and usage steps, and no hidden execution, credential access, or persistence beyond installing the CLI package.

Install with pipx rather than plain pip when possible, avoid running installation commands with administrator privileges, and consider pinning or reviewing the PyPI package version if you need stricter supply-chain control.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure DependenciesIntroduces malicious components through unsafe dependency sources
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

``` 2. Distribute a hash-locked requirements file containing hashes for the package and all transitive dependencies. 3. For `pip` installations, enforce integrity verification: ```bash python -m pip install --require-hashes -r requirements.txt ``` 4. Record the expected package provenance, release version, artifact filenames, and SHA-256 hashes in the project. 5. Audit the pinned package and its transitive dependency graph before recommending installation. 6. Perform upgrades explicitly rather than resolving the latest release automatically, and repeat the security review whenever the pinned version or dependency set changes. 7. Prefer isolated installation with `pipx` and avoid running installation or package commands with administrator privileges. ]]>
Finding
The markdown mixes English headings with Chinese instructional content such as usage descriptions and examples, but does not indicate that the skill is Chinese-only or offer an alternative language. Under the policy, forcing a specific language without user opt-in is a natural-language locale violation.
