My Skill 1

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill does what it says: fetches public U.S. Treasury yield data, writes a local CSV, and appends a small log.

Before installing, users should be comfortable with the skill making requests to CNBC and Treasury.gov and creating or updating testdata/us_treasury_10y.csv plus a fetch log. Non-Chinese readers may need translation for the instructions and console output, and users who want stricter activation should prefer the /us-treasury-tracker command over the broader phrase.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
Findings (4)

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

The skill declares no explicit tool scope even though its documented behavior requires network access and file reads/writes. Without permission boundaries, an agent may invoke the skill with broader-than-expected capabilities, increasing the chance of unintended network access or filesystem modification if the implementation changes or is abused.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding

The manifest-style header and most operational instructions are presented in Chinese, which effectively forces a specific language for users reading the skill description. There is no indication that the skill is region-specific or that users may opt into another language, creating a natural-language locale policy concern.

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The trigger phrase "fetch treasury" is broad and generic, so it can collide with ordinary user requests about treasury data or finance. This may cause unintended skill activation, leading to unexpected network requests and file writes without the user clearly intending to run this specific automation.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding

This Python file contains natural-language instructions and status text in Chinese, starting in the module description and continuing throughout the script. The policy allows locale constraints only when the skill offers opt-in or clearly documents a justified region-specific requirement, which is not present here.
