Rhino 3D Scripts

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This Rhino scripting reference is coherent and user-directed, though some examples can modify or delete Rhino model content and should be used carefully.

Installers should treat this as a Rhino automation reference. Review generated macros and scripts before running them, save work first, and be especially careful with delete commands, startup scripts, aliases, search paths, and temp-file cleanup.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The markdown includes the macro ! _SelAll _Delete, which performs a potentially destructive operation by selecting all objects and deleting them. The surrounding documentation does not warn that this can remove user data or advise caution before running it.

Missing User Warnings

Finding

The table entry says the caller writes a file and the script 'reads and deletes it,' but the documentation does not mention that this removes files from disk or advise users to constrain the path and contents. Because this behavior affects user/system data, a warning is warranted in markdown guidance.
