Add Analytics

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This skill does what it claims: it adds Google Analytics 4 tracking, with expected privacy and consent considerations for site operators.

Install this only if you intend to add GA4 tracking to the project. Review the generated diff, confirm the Measurement ID, avoid sending PII or sensitive search/error details in events, and use consent/privacy-policy updates where required for your users or jurisdiction.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding
The skill advertises adding Google Analytics and privacy settings, but it does not clearly warn that it will introduce third-party tracking and send visitor interaction data to Google. In an agentic setup, that omission can cause users to enable telemetry without informed consent or realizing the privacy and compliance implications.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Confidence
96% confidence
Finding
The event-tracking helpers encourage collection of user activity such as logins, signups, searches, purchases, form interactions, shares, and errors without an explicit privacy warning or data-minimization guidance. This increases the risk of collecting sensitive or regulated behavioral data and deploying tracking that may violate internal policy or legal requirements if used blindly.
