Pattern Mine

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a code-pattern analysis guide that reads source code for refactoring insights and does not show hidden execution, persistence, or data exfiltration behavior.

Install this if you want repository-wide refactoring and duplication analysis. Be aware that it may inspect broad parts of a codebase when invoked in general planning or onboarding contexts, so use it only where that scope is appropriate.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The invocation guidance uses broad, common workflow triggers such as 'during sprint planning,' 'when onboarding,' and 'quarterly, as a health check,' which can cause the skill to activate in many routine contexts beyond explicit user intent. Over-broad activation increases the chance of unintended tool execution, wasted effort, and analysis of repositories or code contexts the user did not specifically ask to inspect.
