Migration Compass

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a migration-planning skill with no executable payload, network use, persistence, or hidden authority.

Install this if you want migration-plan templates and structured rollout guidance. Be aware that the trigger wording is broad, so agents may invoke it during vague replacement discussions; confirm you actually want a migration plan before following any suggested project changes.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The invocation guidance includes a very broad natural-language trigger, "let's just swap it out," which could easily appear in ordinary architectural or planning conversation. If an agent auto-invokes skills based on conversational matches, this can cause unintended activation, leading the model to steer the interaction into migration-planning behavior even when the user did not explicitly request it.
