Meeting Transcription

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a clearly disclosed local meeting transcription helper that writes expected transcript outputs inside the workspace.

Before installing, be comfortable with installing openai-whisper and possible first-run model downloads. Use it only on recordings you are authorized to process, choose an output directory inside the workspace, and avoid sharing generated transcripts or recordings publicly.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
Findings (2)

Undeclared Tool Scope

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
88% confidence
Finding

The skill advertises file-writing behavior but does not declare any explicit tool scope such as permissions or allowed-tools. That mismatch weakens policy enforcement and increases the chance an agent can write files without clear user-visible constraints, especially if future implementations expand behavior beyond the documented output directory.

Missing User Warnings

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
88% confidence
Finding

This code performs multiple file-write operations that create or overwrite output artifacts in the workspace. Although the script name and CLI arguments imply transcription, there is no inline confirmation, warning comment, or explicit disclosure near the write operations themselves.
