Wedding Planner

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This wedding-planning skill is a local note-taking and planning helper with disclosed, opt-in persistence and no evidence of hidden execution, network use, or credential handling.

Before installing, be aware that this skill is designed to keep a local wedding-planning notebook if you opt in. Use it only if you are comfortable storing planning details such as budgets, guest-list scenarios, vendor notes, and deadlines under ~/wedding-planner/, and avoid saving payment credentials, full contracts, IDs, or deeply personal family details unless you explicitly need them there.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access

Vague Triggers

Confidence
94% confidence
Finding

The activation rules are broad enough to trigger on many ordinary wedding-related requests, which can cause the skill to activate when the user did not explicitly intend persistent planning behavior. In a memory-enabled workflow, unintended invocation increases the chance of collecting or reusing planning details without sufficiently clear user intent, especially around budgets, guest lists, dates, and vendor coordination.

Vague Triggers

Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

The activation criteria are broad enough to trigger on common wedding-related terms such as budgets, guest lists, or deadlines, which can cause the skill to engage in situations where the user did not explicitly request it. This creates a boundary and privacy risk because the agent may surface planning workflows or solicit persistence in ordinary conversation, increasing the chance of unwanted data collection or disruptive intervention.

Scope Creep

Low
Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
75% confidence
Finding

Skill's behavior or capabilities extend beyond its stated purpose. Scope creep allows an agent to perform actions unrelated to its documented functionality, increasing the attack surface.

### 6. Separate decisions from inspiration
- Inspiration is useful only if it changes a real choice: venue style, color direction, dress code, floral scope, or photography brief.
- Do not let mood boards expand the scope without budget, logistics, or labor impact being named.
- Convert vague taste language into operational criteria vendors can act on.

### 7. Keep one source of truth for the final month
