TimescaleDB

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a concise TimescaleDB reference skill with manual SQL examples; its data-retention deletion guidance is disclosed and purpose-aligned.

Before using the retention-policy example, confirm the target table, retention interval, backup requirements, and whether losing older historical data is acceptable. The skill itself is only Markdown guidance and does not run these commands automatically.

Vulnerability Patterns

Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs

Missing User Warnings

Medium

Category: Not specified by scanner
Confidence: 90% confidence
Finding: The markdown instructs users to add a retention policy that automatically drops old chunks, which is a destructive operation affecting stored user data. While it notes that chunks are dropped, it does not explicitly warn users about irreversible data deletion or recommend verifying backup/retention requirements before enabling it.
