Price

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a coherent price-checking and price-tracking skill that stores watchlist data locally for its stated purpose, with no executable code or hidden privileged behavior found.

Before installing, be aware that the skill is designed to keep a local price watchlist and purchase history under ~/price. Use clear product URLs or item names when asking it to track something, and review watchlist entries if accidental tracking would be inconvenient.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The trigger phrase "track this" is broad and commonly appears in normal conversation, making accidental invocation plausible. In a price-tracking skill, unintended activation could cause the agent to collect, persist, or act on product/URL content the user did not intend to add, especially if it auto-resolves identifiers and queries external platforms.
