LaTeX

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a simple LaTeX guidance skill with no code execution, persistence, credential access, or hidden behavior.

Before installing, understand that this skill will bias the agent toward conventional LaTeX formatting practices, including TeX-style quotes. It does not add tools or permissions, and users can still override style preferences in their own prompts.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Confidence
83% confidence
Finding
This is a natural-language policy issue because the guidance uses absolute language to force a particular formatting style rather than presenting it as contextual LaTeX best practice. The file does not indicate that this convention is optional, user-selected, or required for a specific regional or organizational standard.
