Landing Page

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a Markdown-only landing page guidance skill; its main risk is privacy-aware use of analytics, not hidden or unsafe behavior by the skill itself.

This skill is reasonable to install for landing page work. Before following its analytics advice, use privacy-preserving defaults: collect only necessary data, avoid precise location unless justified, mask form fields in recordings, respect consent requirements, and document retention limits.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Vague Triggers

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The trigger phrases are broad enough to activate on generic marketing or conversion-related requests, which can cause the skill to engage outside a narrowly defined landing-page scope. This increases the chance of inappropriate interception, response collisions with other skills, and unintended application of the skill’s persuasion-oriented guidance in contexts where it was not explicitly requested.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
92% confidence
Finding

The skill explicitly recommends tracking user location in analytics events and later suggests heatmaps and session-recording tools, but provides no guidance on consent, minimization, masking, or legal/privacy compliance. In a landing-page optimization context, this omission can lead users to deploy invasive tracking by default, exposing organizations to privacy violations, regulatory risk, and accidental collection of sensitive interaction data.
