Dreams

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a straightforward local dream-journal skill, but dream entries can be sensitive and should be stored thoughtfully.

Before installing, consider that dream journals can contain private emotional details and life events. Use this skill on a trusted device, avoid synced or shared folders if privacy matters, and consider a protected or encrypted location for ~/dreams/.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill directs creation of a persistent local ~/dreams/ workspace and encourages storing highly sensitive personal reflections, emotional states, deceased relatives, stressors, and possible life triggers without any privacy notice, consent guidance, or storage protection. Even without active exfiltration, writing this kind of intimate data to disk can expose users through shared accounts, backups, endpoint compromise, or unintended syncing.
