Security audit

Chile

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a Chile travel-planning skill with scoped local trip memory and no evidence of hidden network access, credential use, destructive actions, or deceptive behavior.

Before installing, understand that the skill may keep your Chile trip details in ~/chile/memory.md for reuse across sessions. Do not store sensitive information there unless you are comfortable with it being local persistent context, and delete that file if you want to clear the memory.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Autonomous Decision Making

Medium
Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
75% confidence
Finding

Skill enables autonomous high-impact decisions without human-in-the-loop verification. Critical operations (destructive commands, financial transactions, data deletion) should require explicit user confirmation.

md
- Bringing fruit for the plane and forgetting it on arrival.
- Assuming "sealed" always means exempt.
- Carrying trekking food with meat or dairy into Patagonia without checking it.
- Ignoring the stricter environmental logic of Rapa Nui.

Missing User Warnings

Medium
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The skill instructs the agent to create and maintain a persistent local memory file under ~/chile containing user travel intent, constraints, and preferences, but it provides no notice to the user or consent mechanism for local storage. Even though the data appears non-financial, it can still include sensitive behavioral and mobility information such as travel dates, budget, health-related tolerances, and movement plans, creating a privacy and retention risk.

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category
Not specified by scanner
Confidence
80% confidence
Finding

The file is entirely scoped to 'Chile' and presents region-specific travel, food, and wine guidance without any language indicating this is optional, user-selected, or part of a clearly documented region-specific tool. Under the policy rule for natural-language locale constraints, this can be read as imposing a locale-specific experience without explicit opt-in.

Finding

This markdown file contains source labels and links in several locales, including Spanish, Portuguese, and French, while presenting itself as a general Chile skill source list. Without any note that multilingual sources are intentional or that users may receive non-English materials, this creates a natural-language locale-policy concern.
