Business Strategy

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a coherent business-advice skill that stores user-created business notes locally, with no evidence of hidden execution, exfiltration, or deceptive behavior.

Before installing, be aware that this skill is designed to keep business decisions, metrics, and idea notes under ~/business/. Avoid storing secrets, customer personal data, or highly confidential plans there unless the directory is protected appropriately and you are comfortable retaining that information locally.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Missing User Warnings

Confidence

Finding

The skill directs the agent to persist business data under ~/business/ and explicitly labels files for active decisions, metrics, and idea logs, but provides no warning about sensitivity, retention, access control, or redaction. While this is not overtly malicious, business plans, metrics, and decision history can contain confidential or commercially sensitive information, so default local storage without privacy guidance creates an avoidable data-exposure risk.

Finding

This markdown file instructs the user to create directories and files under ~/business/, which modifies the local filesystem. The section does not include any warning or disclosure that running these commands will create persistent files in the user's home directory.
