Blockchain

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a markdown-only blockchain education skill with purpose-aligned smart contract examples and no hidden execution or persistence behavior.

Before using the write-contract examples against any live blockchain, verify the chain, contract address, recipient, token decimals, and amount; simulate first, use a testnet or local chain when possible, and require explicit confirmation before broadcasting transactions.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The file provides a ready-to-use contract write example that can submit an on-chain transaction but does not warn that writes are irreversible, may spend real funds, and can have side effects on live networks. In a blockchain developer skill, users may copy examples directly into production or against mainnet, so omission of safety guidance increases the chance of accidental asset loss or unintended state changes.
