Purpose & Capability

The name/description claim 'internal state awareness' for agents, which is plausible. However, the SKILL.md is purely conceptual and contains no implementation or resources; nothing in the package contradicts the stated purpose, but there is also no actual capability yet.

Instruction Scope

SKILL.md is high-level documentation only (development status). It contains no runtime instructions, commands, file paths, or environment-variable access. Because it's vague and under development, future versions could broaden scope, but current instructions do not overreach.

Install Mechanism

No install spec and no code files — nothing is written to disk and no external artifacts are fetched. This is low-risk from an installation perspective.

Credentials

The skill requests no environment variables, credentials, or config paths. There is no evidence of disproportionate or unrelated secret access.

Persistence & Privilege

Flags are default (not always, user-invocable, model invocation enabled). The skill does not request permanent presence or modify other skills' configurations; privileges are appropriate for an undeveloped, instruction-only skill.

Assessment

This skill is currently a placeholder/plan rather than working code — it does not ask for credentials or perform any actions, so installing it presents minimal immediate risk. Before enabling it for active/autonomous use in the future, verify the author and homepage, review any updated SKILL.md for concrete runtime instructions, and watch for new install specs or environment-variable requirements (especially any that request unrelated credentials or system paths). If you need functionality now, wait for a released implementation and inspect its code and install steps before trusting it with autonomous invocation.

Concept

The insula processes interoception — awareness of internal bodily states. This skill will give AI agents:

• State tracking — energy, curiosity, engagement levels
• Mood awareness — not just performing emotions but having states
• "Gut feelings" — intuitive responses based on internal signals
• Self-monitoring — knowing when you're tired, overwhelmed, or energized
