Security audit

UI Accessibility Checklist

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The skill’s local accessibility checks match its description, and its unused network helper is never called by the audit workflow.

Use selected HTML files in a sandboxed workspace. Reports and a local state database remain there. Direct ZIP installation is available without connecting the external assistant. Browser and assistive-technology testing are still needed for a complete accessibility review.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration

Description-Behavior Mismatch

High
Category
MCP Tool Poisoning
Confidence
93% confidence
Finding

Workspace storage and report generation are reasonable supporting implementation details. However, the general-purpose network client provides capabilities unrelated to auditing local HTML or calculating contrast. It accepts caller-supplied URLs, headers, and request bodies and supports remote mutations. The chunk only defines this client; it does not demonstrate an actual network request or exfiltration. Accessibility logic may exist elsewhere, but none is present in the supplied code.

Skill declares no tool scope ('permissions' or 'allowed-tools') but code capabilities were detected: file_read, file_write, network, shell.

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
70% confidence
Finding

Without declared permissions the skill's intent is opaque and cannot be validated.

The local accessibility skill includes an unrelated general-purpose HTTP client with remote mutation capabilities.

Medium
Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The manifest describes local HTML accessibility checks and explicit colour-pair contrast calculations, neither of which requires network access. The safe_request helper implements outbound HTTP requests, including POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE with caller-supplied headers and bodies, and optionally permits private hosts. This is an unjustified capability in the distributed runtime; the supplied file does not establish that it is invoked during an audit.

Scope Creep

Low
Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
70% confidence
Finding

Skill's behavior or capabilities extend beyond its stated purpose. Scope creep allows an agent to perform actions unrelated to its documented functionality, increasing the attack surface.
