Calendar and Agenda Desk

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

The calendar features are legitimate, but weak deletion safeguards can put an entire connected calendar at risk.

Use local calendar functions or a read-only calendar connection until remote deletion rejects collection targets and wildcard version values. Back up connected calendars, keep credentials and .mochilab private, and prefer reviewed installer and dependency versions.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • MCP Tool PoisoningHidden Instructions, Unicode Deception, Parameter Description Injection

Description-Behavior Mismatch

High
Category
MCP Tool Poisoning
Confidence
88% confidence
Finding

Most behavior matches the declared purpose, and local persistence and remote listing are supporting implementation details. However, remote-delete issues an HTTP DELETE against a selected remote resource. This is a destructive capability beyond importing, creating local meeting files, or transferring resources. Requiring an ETag provides version protection but does not make deletion a declared capability.

MCP server referenced without pinned version: 'npx clawhub'.

Medium
Category
MCP Rug Pull
Confidence
95% confidence
Finding

The documented command uses npx clawhub@latest, which downloads and executes a mutable package version rather than a reviewed, fixed release. A compromised upstream release could execute code with the installing user's permissions and access workspace data or available credentials. Although ClawHub is an installation CLI rather than an MCP server, the underlying unpinned-execution concern applies; there is no evidence of malicious intent in this README.

MCP server referenced without pinned version: 'npx clawhub'.

Medium
Category
MCP Rug Pull
Confidence
90% confidence
Finding

The documented installation command uses npx clawhub@latest, which can download and execute a changing package version with the invoking user's privileges, creating a supply-chain risk if a future release or its dependencies are compromised. This is an installation CLI rather than an MCP server, so the finding's label is inaccurate, but the unpinned execution concern remains; it requires someone to run the command, and there is no evidence of malicious intent.

Skill declares no tool scope ('permissions' or 'allowed-tools') but code capabilities were detected: env, file_read, file_write, network, shell.

Medium
Category
MCP Least Privilege
Confidence
70% confidence
Finding

Without declared permissions the skill's intent is opaque and cannot be validated.

Scope Creep

Low
Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
70% confidence
Finding

Skill's behavior or capabilities extend beyond its stated purpose. Scope creep allows an agent to perform actions unrelated to its documented functionality, increasing the attack surface.

Unverifiable Dependency: icalendar has 2 known advisory(ies) (CVE-2026-55099 (icalendar has Algorithmic Complexity in Equality); CVE-2026-55099 (icalendar has Algorithmic Complexity in Equality)), but the manifest does not pin a version, so it is unknown whether the installed release is affected

Low
Category
Supply Chain
Confidence
40% confidence
Finding

OSV returned advisories for this package, but its resolved version is unknown. A package-name lookup does not establish whether the installed release is affected by those advisories.

Unpinned Dependencies

Low
Category
Supply Chain
Confidence
89% confidence
Finding

The open-ended tzdata requirement permits installations to select different future releases, creating a dependency-integrity and reproducibility weakness rather than demonstrating an actively exploitable package flaw. Unexpected or compromised updates could affect calendar timezone interpretation, although nothing in this file establishes a malicious dependency or an existing compromise.
