Security audit

Return Reason Miner

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill only analyzes user-provided return or refund notes into a local heuristic brief and does not request live-system, credential, network, or persistence access.

Installers should understand that this is a heuristic analysis aid, not a live returns-processing or QA system. It should be used with user-supplied notes and human review for product, vendor, refund, inventory, or policy decisions.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Trigger AbuseOverly Broad Trigger, Shadow Command Trigger, Keyword Baiting Trigger
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The example prompts include generic formulations like "Help me analyze..." and "Turn these ... into ...", which are common everyday requests and not uniquely scoped activation phrases. While the surrounding section narrows the domain, the trigger guidance does not clearly distinguish what should not invoke the skill or provide exclusion examples.
