openclaw skills install ruler-stop-block-label-cardRuler Stop Block Label Card provides a printable label for marking ruler stop block setups. When you set a stop block to a specific measurement, this card captures the measurement value, orientation arrow, project name, owner, and date -- then attaches near the stop block so the setup is never lost or confused. It works across woodworking, crafting, desk layout, and any repeat-measurement workflow.
This skill is labeling only. It does not provide cutting, drilling, or tool-use instructions.
Use this skill when the user asks to:
Trigger phrases: "ruler stop block label", "mark my stop block", "label a measurement setup", "printable stop block card", "workshop measurement label"
Ask the user for the current stop block measurement. What value does the ruler or scale read at the stop block position? If the measurement is fractional (e.g., 3-1/4 inches or 82.5 mm), record it exactly as the user states it.
Ask about the orientation of the measurement: which direction does the stop block face? Options include left-to-right, right-to-left, from-fence, from-end, or custom. This determines the orientation arrow on the card.
Ask for:
Offer two card formats:
Produce a text-based printable layout including:
Provide the card as ASCII/markdown layout the user can copy, print, or hand-draw.
Instruct the user to:
Confirm the card details. Remind the user: label the setup, not the tool -- reuse the ruler without confusion. Suggest related skills for tool organization and workshop labeling.
User says: "I set my stop block to 12-3/8 inches for shelf pins. Make me a label."
Skill guides: Capture measurement (12-3/8 in). Confirm orientation (from-fence). Gather context: project "Bookshelf", owner initials "JD", today's date. Generate full card with all fields. Include orientation arrow pointing right. Remind user to clip near the stop block, not on the ruler scale.
User says: "Need a quick label for a 45 mm desk stop. Just the basics."
Skill guides: Capture measurement (45 mm). Confirm orientation (left-to-right). Offer compact card -- measurement, arrow, date only. Generate minimal card layout. User can tape it to the desk edge temporarily.
