Vulnerability Type:T08: Insecure Dependencies
Risk Level: Mediumbash # 安装AKShare pip install akshare --upgrade # 安装依赖 pip install pandas numpyTechnical Analysis
The installation instructions retrieve AKShare, pandas, NumPy, and their transitive dependencies without exact version pins, integrity hashes, or a lockfile. The
--upgradeoption explicitly directspipto select a newer available AKShare release rather than a previously reviewed version.Consequently, the dependencies installed when a user follows these instructions may differ from those available when the Skill was audited. A compromised upstream release, package-index account, dependency, or package-resolution source could introduce arbitrary installation or runtime behavior. Python packages can execute package-controlled code during installation, import, or subsequent use.
The artifact does not contain evidence that any currently published dependency is malicious. The vulnerability is the unsafe and non-reproducible dependency acquisition process.
Attack Path
- An attacker compromises an upstream dependency release, one of its transitive dependencies, or the package-distribution account used to publish it.
- The attacker publishes a malicious version that satisfies the unrestricted dependency request.
- A user follows the documented command
pip install akshare --upgradeor installs the unpinnedpandasandnumpypackages. pipresolves and downloads the attacker-controlled or compromised release because no approved version or integrity hash is enforced.- Malicious package code executes during installation, import, or use of the documented stock-selection functionality.
- The payload operates with the privileges and environmental access of the user or automation process that invoked
pipor imported the package.

Remediation Suggestions
- Replace unrestricted requirements with exact versions that have been reviewed, for example through a maintained
requirements.txtorpyproject.tomllockfile. - Generate and verify cryptographic hashes for every direct and transitive dependency. Use an installation workflow such as
pip install --require-hashes -r requirements.txt. - Remove the unconditional
--upgradeoption from end-user installation instructions. - Resolve and lock transitive dependencies using a reproducible dependency-management tool, and commit the resulting lockfile to the project.
- Explicitly use an approved package index and prevent fallback to untrusted or unintended indexes.
- Install packages inside an isolated virtual environment or container under a non-privileged account.
- Add automated dependency scanning, provenance verification where available, and a controlled process for reviewing and updating pinned versions.
- Test dependency updates in an isolated environment before publishing revised installation instructions.
- Replace unrestricted requirements with exact versions that have been reviewed, for example through a maintained
