Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill automates browsing and summarizing Taoguba recommendation posts, with optional disclosed login credentials for that site.

Before installing, only provide Taoguba credentials if you are comfortable with the agent logging in as you on that site. Prefer a low-privilege or dedicated account, avoid reusing passwords, clear the environment variables after use, and review generated URL/content files if the posts may include private account-gated material.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The skill instructs operators to provide website credentials through environment variables and use them for automated login, but it does not clearly warn users about the security implications of granting the skill access to those secrets or the trust boundary involved. Even though it says credentials will not be written to files, the skill still gains access to authentication material and could expose it through logs, downstream tooling, prompt leakage, or future modifications.
