Dex Task Tracking

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a simple task-tracking guide that stores disclosed local JSON task files and shows no hidden or high-impact behavior.

Before installing, be aware that using this skill may create persistent task files in .dex/tasks/. Review or delete those files if task descriptions or context contain sensitive project details.

Vulnerability Patterns

Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs

Category: Not specified by scanner
Confidence: 88% confidence
Finding: The manifest description says to "Use dex to create, track, and complete tasks that span multiple sessions or require coordination," which is a broad invocation description rather than a narrowly scoped trigger. It does not define specific trigger phrases, boundaries, or negative examples, so routine requests about tracking work or follow-up could unintentionally match this skill.
