Recipe Save Email To Doc

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This recipe has a clear productivity purpose, but its instructions can copy sensitive email into a persistent Google Doc and show an unsafe command pattern for untrusted email text.

Review this skill before installing. Use it only when copying the full email body is appropriate, confirm the selected message, redact sensitive content where possible, check the destination document's sharing settings, and avoid executing a shell command that directly interpolates email text.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Insecure Skill Coding PracticesFinds exploitable flaws such as hardcoded secrets or command injection
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally

Finding

This recipe copies Gmail message content directly into a new Google Doc without any warning, minimization, or confirmation step, which can expose sensitive or regulated email data to a different storage location with different sharing, retention, and search behavior. Even though both services are Google Workspace, duplicating message bodies increases the risk of accidental disclosure, oversharing, and persistence of confidential content.
