Recipe Save Email Attachments

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This recipe does what it says: it guides a user through moving selected Gmail attachments into a Google Drive folder.

Install only if you are comfortable giving the required Gmail and Drive access. Use a narrow Gmail query, confirm each attachment is appropriate to retain, and upload only to an approved Drive folder with the right sharing controls.

  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands

Finding

The skill instructs users to download email attachments and upload them into Google Drive without warning that this transfers potentially sensitive email data into another storage location. That omission can lead to accidental retention, oversharing, or policy violations, especially when attachments may contain client, financial, or regulated information.
