Security audit

YouTube Music

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This YouTube Music skill is coherent and purpose-aligned, but it requires local authentication files that should be treated as account secrets.

Install only if you are comfortable letting the agent access and modify your YouTube Music library and playlists. Keep browser.json private, delete headers.txt after setup, do not commit either file to source control, and ask the agent to confirm before making library or playlist changes.

Finding
The skill instructs users to copy a full authenticated YouTube Music `browse` request as cURL into `headers.txt` and convert it into `browser.json`, but provides no warning that these artifacts contain live authentication headers and cookies. Storing or sharing these files in the skill folder can expose account access to anyone with filesystem, repo, log, or support-bundle access, making accidental credential leakage materially more likely.
