Amazon Product Reviews by Gecho

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a disclosed Amazon review collection workflow that uses a third-party MCP bridge and Chrome extension, with setup and logged-in browser requirements made clear.

Install only if you are comfortable using Gecho's Chrome extension and MCP bridge with a logged-in Amazon browser session. For stronger reproducibility, pin or review the Gecho Bridge package version before configuring the MCP server.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • System Prompt LeakageDirect Leakage, Indirect Extraction, Tool-Based Exfiltration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

MCP Rug Pull

95% confidence
Finding

The skill instructs users to install and run an MCP server via npx ... @latest, which pulls whatever package version is current at execution time. This creates a supply-chain and reproducibility risk: a future compromised or breaking release could be executed automatically in the user's environment with no review or pinning.
