Hyperliquid Analysis

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This is a read-only Hyperliquid market research skill that uses public data sources and includes clear boundaries against trading or account-changing actions.

Install this only if you want an agent to research Hyperliquid markets using current public web/API data. Treat its financial output as research, verify live facts before trading, and do not provide private keys or approve any separate install, signer, builder fee, or execution action unless you intentionally requested that separate workflow.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep

Finding

The documentation instructs use of npx skills add ... without pinning an exact package version, which can cause execution of whatever version is current at install time. In a security-sensitive agent/tooling environment, this creates supply-chain risk: a compromised, newly published, or behavior-changing package version could be fetched and run unexpectedly.

For HTTP-capable harnesses, use the official Info endpoint directly for reads. The equivalent metadata request is:

sh
curl --fail-with-body https://api.hyperliquid.xyz/info \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data '{"type":"meta"}'
