Galleon DeFi Payments

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a cautious DeFi payment-planning guide that emphasizes explicit authorization, bounded payment terms, receipt reconciliation, and avoiding duplicate or automatic payments.

Before installing, understand that this skill is for financial workflows: use it only with wallets and providers you already trust, keep wallet secrets outside chat, require exact chain/asset/recipient/amount limits, and review any transaction or paid request before signing.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Excessive AgencyUnrestricted Tool Access, Autonomous Decision Making, Scope Creep
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Skill Enumeration

Category
Agent Snooping
Confidence
80% confidence
Finding

Skill enumerates or reads other installed skills. Access to other skills' SKILL.md files or the skills directory reveals prompt instructions, capabilities, and secrets that should be invisible to peer skills.

| Coinbase / x402 | [Buyer SDK guide](https://docs.cdp.coinbase.com/x402/buyer/quickstart), official `coinbase/cdp-sdk` skill `build-x402-client`, CDP-managed or user-owned wallet | SDK guide uses Node 22+ and CDP credentials; its client can provision a wallet and automatically retry a paid request. Inspect configuration before running examples. Explicit development mode uses testnet; omitted environment can use mainnet. |
| x402 protocol | [Payment flow](https://docs.cdp.coinbase.com/x402/how-it-works), [official protocol](https://docs.x402.org/) | A server offers payment requirements; verification, work, settlement and response are separate stages. Discover supported scheme/network/asset; do not assume every facilitator supports every rail or only fixed-price USDC. |
| Sablier | [Official agent skills](https://docs.sablier.com/guides/ai-agents), [`sablier-labs/sablier-skills`](https://github.com/sablier-labs/sablier-skills), deployed contracts and subgraphs | Official skills cover vesting, open-ended streams, airdrops and withdrawals. Reuse the relevant upstream procedure after source review. No public runtime MCP established in this review. |
| Superfluid | [Official skills](https://github.com/superfluid-org/skills), [current skill source](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/superfluid-org/skills/main/skills/superfluid/SKILL.md) | Current app integrations use `@sfpro/sdk`; onchain contracts and metadata have separate packages. CFA is one-to-one flow; GDA is distribution via pools. IDA and older macro paths have replacement guidance. No official runtime MCP established here. |

Autonomous Decision Making

Medium
Category
Excessive Agency
Confidence
75% confidence
Finding

Skill enables autonomous high-impact decisions without human-in-the-loop verification. Critical operations (destructive commands, financial transactions, data deletion) should require explicit user confirmation.

## Paid API request

Record resource origin and path without credentials, method, request fingerprint, quoted payment scheme, network, asset, recipient, maximum charge and expiry. Check the approved budget before registering an automatically paying client. After submission preserve a redacted payment identifier and settlement evidence separately from resource delivery. Timeout after payment requires receipt lookup or provider-supported idempotent recovery. Do not assume a refund exists for failed work, and do not repay without checking the first obligation.
