Security audit

HPC FEniCS

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill is a coherent FEniCS/DOLFINx coding aid with user-directed templates and no evidence of hidden behavior or data misuse.

Review the SLURM template before running it on a shared cluster because it can consume scheduled compute resources, and adapt paths, modules, ranks, and output locations to your environment. The skill otherwise appears to provide ordinary PDE coding guidance and examples.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • System Prompt LeakageDirect Leakage, Indirect Extraction, Tool-Based Exfiltration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Natural-Language Policy Violations

Low
Category

Confidence
83% confidence
Finding

The guidance says that if the user is on Windows, the skill should prefer WSL or a containerized environment instead of unsupported native install steps. This imposes a platform-specific workflow preference in natural language without explicitly framing it as a user option or opt-in choice.
