Security audit

Cn Password Strength

Security checks across malware telemetry and agentic risk

Overview

This is a local password-strength checker with no network or persistence, but batch mode echoes plaintext passwords to the terminal.

Installers should treat this as a local-only utility. Avoid running real passwords through command lines or batch mode in shared terminals, CI logs, recorded sessions, or monitored environments, because plaintext passwords may appear in shell history or stdout logs.

Finding
When processing a password list, the script prints each plaintext password directly to stdout. This can expose sensitive secrets in terminals, logs, shell history captures, CI output, or monitoring systems, which is especially risky because the tool’s purpose is to handle passwords and users may not expect disclosure.
