Neomano Internet Speed (Download/Upload)

Security checks for vulnerabilities and agentic risk

Overview

This skill transparently runs a small Cloudflare-based internet speed test and does not show hidden, persistent, or unrelated behavior.

Install only if you are comfortable with the agent using your machine's network connection to send and receive test traffic with Cloudflare when you ask for a speed test; avoid very large custom byte values on metered or constrained networks.

Vulnerability Patterns
  • Skill Instruction HijackingAlters the agent's session goals or safety constraints when the skill loads
  • Agent Memory PoisoningWrites attacker-controlled rules into memory that affect later sessions
  • Remote Payload Retrieval and ExecutionFetches external code whose behavior can change after review
  • Embedded Malicious CodeShips malicious scripts inside the skill and executes them locally
  • Unauthorized Access and Privilege EscalationObtains permissions beyond the task's legitimate needs
Vulnerability Patterns
  • MCP Least PrivilegeUnderdeclared Capability, Wildcard Permission, Missing Permission Declaration
  • Prompt InjectionInstruction Override, Hidden Instructions, Exfiltration Commands
  • Data ExfiltrationExternal Transmission, Env Variable Harvesting, File System Enumeration
  • Privilege EscalationExcessive Permissions, Sudo/Root Execution, Credential Access
  • Supply ChainUnpinned Dependencies, External Script Fetching, Obfuscated Code

Finding

The skill explicitly performs network-based speed tests against external Cloudflare endpoints, but the manifest does not declare any tool scope or permissions describing that network access. This creates a permission/transparency gap: an agent or reviewer cannot reliably constrain or understand the skill's outbound connectivity from the skill declaration alone, which increases the risk of unintended data egress or misuse if the implementation changes or is replaced.
